Café Arcangel, located in one of the most convenient places in the center of Havana about a 5minutes car ride from Vedado where we stayed.
It felt as if I was walking into a old palace. Cafe Arcangel has excellent Cuban coffee and friendly staff. It felt like we were visiting family.
I can't recommend this place enough. I can talk about the antique furniture, the Charlie Chaplin screenings, the mosaic tile floors, the beautiful fresco ceiling, etc. But the most impressive thing you'll find here besides the coffee and food are the people. You'll make real authentic human connections here. If you want an authentic Cuban cafe experience look no further. We loved it so much that we could not bother to eat breakfast anywhere else. Once you go, you'll see why. We literally took over the cafe every time we went for breakfast. It's one the most photogenic cafes I've been.
