Haitian Epis Recipe (Seasoning)





I am sharing my homemade seasoning. I am all about saving time when cooking, so prepping ahead is what I rely on. This seasoning can be used for almost all your cooking. This recipe is my mother's recipe and I customized it to my liking. Everyone in my family makes this. Haitian Epis is an essential part of Haitian cuisine; Epis is the base seasoning for majority of Haitian traditional dishes and is, incredibly easy to make.




What you need:

Scallions or Leeks
Garlic
Olive Oil
A jar
Pepper(You can add more herbs if you want)

Directions:

4-7 minutes and voila!

Usage: For marinating fish, meats. 

Use for eggs, rice, pasta, Risotto, curry, etc... You can use this seasoning on almost everything you cook. I usually add a spoonful in heated coconut/olive oil.
