Matcha Latte Recipe

Happy new week guys! I am bringing you a new recipe. I decided to quit coffee 2 days ago. I knew I was dependent on it but never realized the nervousness I would feel after drinking. I was on edge. I stumble upon a video on youtube about what coffee does to your body and Instantly I knew I couldn't go on depending on it like I did. I was a zombie without and would get a headache by 10am if I had not have it. I am not saying I'd never have a coffee again. I will, but pry a latte when I'm traveling or so.

I know you're wondering why am I blabbing on about coffee when you came here for matcha latte recipe.I so happen to have matcha powder in my house that I use for juices and thought why not try making a matcha latte! It turned out so good that I am sharing the recipe. I am aware that matcha contains caffeine but it doesn't come with any of that nervousness side effect but rather calm and alert. It's exactly how I needed. I haven't had a headache. Matchas gracias!
Are you a coffee addict? Do tell

Ingredients:

1 cup of almond milk
1 Teaspoon of matcha powder
1/4 cup of hot water
cinnamon,vanilla extract(optional)
Maple or honey as sugar.(You can use sugar or honey if you want)

Preparation

Bring a cup unsweetened almond milk to a bare simmer in a small pot over medium-high heat or just heat up in microwave for about 60seconds.
Place 1 teaspoon matcha powder in a heatproof cup. Slowly whisk in 1/4 cup boiling water or heat up in microwave for 30-60seconds. Add cinnamon & vanilla extract(optional)
I use a milk frother for the almond milk, tipping cup slightly to help create more foam. Sweeten with maple syrup or honey.

Thank you for watching,
Xoxo, Rose
